General Returns Policy
Our Satisfaction Guarantee
We take great pride in our deck railing products. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you may return your unused/unaltered product for a replacement or refund within 30 days of delivery. Please refer to the information below to ensure your product is eligible.
All returns require prior authorization from us before they can be returned. You may request a Return Authorization by clicking here or call us at 717-692-2159. S&L Spindles is not responsible for return shipping costs, unless the incorrect item or a defective item was shipped to you. Items being returned due to a customer error in ordering or handling will be subject to a 25% restocking fee.
Please Inspect Your Products Immediately
Please inspect your product(s) thoroughly upon delivery. If you feel your item is damaged, defective or there is an error, please email us ASAP at email@example.com with your order #, damage/defect specifics, and photos. Replacements for damaged or defective product(s) will not be approved until your email is received along with photos.
If your order was incorrect or missing items, please contact us immediately at 717-692-2159 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the order number, item numbers, missing item info, and any other applicable details.
If you receive a product that you believe is a reject, defective, or the incorrect item, please fill out our contact form below or call us at 717-692-2159 and we will send you a replacement at no additional charge.
Protect Your Products Immediately
The wood you are receiving is dry and should be protected immediately before or after installation. S&L Spindles will not warranty any products that are not protected from sun or rain with paint, weather resistant stain, or clear coat.
We do not accept returns of:
– Any product that is not in its original condition. This may include, but is not limited to, a product that is damaged, has been used or installed, or a product that has been altered in any way, such as cut, drilled, painted, stained, etc.
– Products not immediately protected from the elements (sun, rain, snow, etc.).
– Products delivered more than 30 days ago.
– Products purchased through our sale/clearance/closeout section.
Products purchased as part of a kit (i.e. Mailbox Posts), unless the full kit is returned.
Returning Your Product(s)
Please do not send products back without first receiving a Return Authorization from us. We cannot return any non-refundable products or products delivered more than 30 days prior. You may submit an online Return Request, or call us at 717-692-2159 to make your request over the phone. If your items are eligible for return, you will then receive an email with your RMA number and the following instructions:
Shipping your product(s) to us
– Ensure products are protected with the original packaging and materials/padding, adding extra padding if needed. If damage occurs during shipping, a full refund will not be issued.
– Return all products and accessories received. For example, if you are returning a mailbox post, all pieces/parts of the kit must be returned.
– Do not alter the original packaging in any way (writing/marking it up).
– Include a copy of your Request Authorization (emailed to you) with your shipment.

Upon receipt and inspection of the product(s), we will process your refund. Returned product(s) must arrive to us in resellable condition. We manually inspect all returns. As previously stated, all returns must be unused and unaltered. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we’ve received it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). We will notify you via email of your refund once we’ve received and processed the returned item.
